Perkinamine NR™

Lightwave Logic has developed Perkinamine NR™, a member of the Perkinamine family of chromophores that has remarkable Third-Order properties. In recent tests conducted by Lehigh University, one of the Perkinamine NR™ chromophores demonstrated that it was:

100 times stronger than the highest off-resonance small molecule currently known.

2600 times more powerful than fused silica, the general off resonance response measurement standard.

Extremely fast (less than 1 picosecond) photo-induced nonlinear response that would be capable of modulation at rates of 1 THz (terahertz)

While there are other non-linear Third-Order materials in existence, the significance of Perkinamine NR™ is not just that it is extremely powerful, but it also survived semiconductor process temperatures of 170 C with no apparent loss of optical effect.
