Recently, Lightwave Logic announced the opening of a new Research and Development facility in Newark, Delaware. The synthesis laboratory is outfitted with the scientific equipment necessary to conduct high quality chemical synthesis as well as the development and fabrication of thin films.

This includes a custom designed double glove box that allows ultimate control of atmospheric conditions by allowing for a low moisture non-oxygen (nitrogen) environment. Once the materials are prepared, they can easily be moved to an adjacent chamber for spin-coating.

At this same location, the Company is also outfitting a separate testing laboratory which contains the equipment necessary to perform advanced optical measurements. The combination of an advanced chemical synthesis lab adjacent to a facility with the capability to conduct optical testing will accelerate the Company’s development effort.
